As a leading Disamatic foundry, Thomas Dudley has established a reputation for providing customers with outstanding design and development support for castings in the UK.
For each and every project, our engineers will begin by taking time to thoroughly understand the castings that need to be manufactured and any special performance criteria that have to be achieved. If required, they will then develop designs using our in-house facilities.
Our new Advanced Centre for Engineering is equipped with cutting edge design technology including five seats of SolidWorks, four CNC machining centres and Steinbichler 3D scanning. These capabilities and our unrivalled expertise are called upon to formulate casting designs that help to optimise customer production and assembly efficiencies.
Once designs have been approved, they will be linked to our own Quaser CNC machining centre to produce patterns. Existing customer patterns can also be used or modified where necessary.
Sample castings are then produced and tested exhaustively in our laboratory using spectrometer, sand testing, metallographic and physical testing equipment before being sent to customers for approval.
