Thomas Dudley castings are manufactured to provide assured performance. Unlike many inferior products that break at loads way below those specified by British Standards, our heavy-duty manhole covers and drain grates are guaranteed to 100% pass the required load tests. We’re so committed to quality that we’ll even test your existing castings free of charge to allow you to see how our castings compare.
Our Foundries
Our foundries are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and provide a quality assured source of supply for drainage casting and manhole covers for customers based in the UK and overseas.
Backed by the resources of the successful and financially robust Thomas Dudley Group, we are able to call upon unrivalled expertise in casting design, development and manufacture.

Furthermore, we employ lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to help ensure that our internal manhole covers, sealed manhole covers and gratings and frames are manufactured to the highest possible standards.
In addition, our manhole covers and frames and grating and frames are continuously tested to ensure that they 100% comply with British Standards and successfully pass the required load tests. A certificate of conformance also reassuringly accompanies each consignment that leaves our foundries.
