Thomas Dudley’s award-winning foundry team has redesigned the 380×230 surface box (6270 Thomas Dudley) range.
The design has been improved to enhance performance, simplify installation and improve on-site safety.
A number of new features have also been incorporated.

- We have exploited the latest stress simulation software to design our strongest 380×230 surface box (6270 Thomas Dudley) yet
- All 380×230 surface box (6270 Thomas Dudley) surpass the required 400kN load test by at least 10%
- The range can be used with confidence in all D400 applications
- 380×230 surface box (6270 Thomas Dudley) comply with HA 104 by providing lid insertion depth that has been increased by 60% to 80mm
- 380×230 surface box (6270 Thomas Dudley) features a solid flange to maximise mortar bed area and installation strength
- This is HA compliant with a 50mm bearing width
- The lid has been extensively modified. The resulting improvements make it impossible for the lid to be accidentally removed by traffic:
- The lid now has an insertion depth of more than 80mm
- Clearance between the lid and frame is just 1.5mm for a secure fit
- The lid features unique centring tabs which ensure the lid is always fitted correctly
- Tabs also wedge firmly against the frame when the lid is tilted by 1.5 degrees widthways or lengthways.
